Valley Country is a proud supporter of its local community in the Clarence Valley and Coffs Coast regions of NSW Australia. We make this section of our web site available to local equestrian
groups and equine practitioners.
On a per capita basis, this region has a very high population
of horses and it's a rare week that goes by without some horse related activity
somewhere in the Coffs/Clarence Region. Valley Country also supports the riding activities of local equestrian, Louise Light, pictured. Louise is a world class rider who was long listed for the Australian Olympic equestrian team (before withdrawing due to injury).
Hawthorne Equestrian Park grounds are
crown lands located in South Grafton and managed by Grafton City Council. The User
Group, which consists of elected representatives of the ground's various users, liaises
with Council and is actively involved in its maintenance and management. The User
Group, in conjunction with Council, has recently released a Draft Plan of Management which
also includes a vision for the future development and use of this valuable resource.
Equestrian groups may
wish to publicise their events, results, news and contact details. Local
practitioners and service providers such as vets, equine dentists, therapists, farriers,
trainers, etc are also welcome to provide their contact details.
