Valley Country was established by Grafton couple, Maureen and Rob Byrne. Both had very successful international careers in the high pressure information technology industry before making the change to the gentler lifestyle of northern NSW. Maureen has been involved with horses all her life; she grew up on a thoroughbred stud and also attended Pony Club from the age of five. Since the early '90's, Rob and Maureen have been breeding the extremely rare Caspian Horse, a pony-sized horse with slim build and extraordinary speed and athleticism.
