In 1924 the orphaned Thomas Cook arrived in Melbourne from Western Australia. On August 14 of that same year, Cobb & Co's last coach was driven from Yuleba to Surat in Southern Queensland.

Two generations later, the Thomas Cook brand of boots, country clothing and adventure wear is famous throughout Australia.  Thomas Cook, now in his nineties, still likes nothing better than to "keep an eye on things".  As he says, "my name is on the line"

Since the days of Cobb & Co, Thomas Cook have been sticklers about quality and attention to detail like only a hands-on family company can be.
