Ord River Saddlery
The Ord River flows through the "Great North West Territory" of Western Australia and is one of Australia's most famous cattle raising areas. The Ord River Collection of saddles, saddlebags and bridleware is designed in Australia for real stockmen in the outback. The Ord River collection is equally at home for trail, pleasure and weekend riders.
The range includes all the needs of the traditional stockman at an affordable price., including saddles, bridles, leathers, quart pot holders, knife ppouches and more. The saddle collection includes the traditional stock saddle with deep, contoured seats and generous knee pads and a Half Breed Poley. This fender design gives the best of both worlds and is used extensively by campdrafters and outback stockmen.
There is also a tiny tots poley (12'' seat) and junior poley saddle (13'' seat) for budding young stockmen or for Mums and Dads who prefer that their children learn to ride in a safe and secure saddle with a deep contoured seat and knee pads.
Some saddles in the Ord River range are also available with a horn and flank girth rings.
Drafter Poley The Cox Poley style saddle that features a broken neck which allows the rider to mould into the saddle. Built on a fibreglass tree. 3 1/2" knee pads and flat thigh pads. |

Half Breed Poley A swinging fender saddle designed to give the best of both worlds in ultimate comfort for both horse and rider. Swinging fenders are attached directly to the full fibreglass tree, which affords the rider optimum leg movement. A style of saddle used extensively by leading campdraft competitors and outback stockmen. | |
